Nooooooooooooooooooo

Today is the last day at enrich@ILT. After morning tea we had enrich@Ilt has talent. Not many people went in it. I didn't go in it either, most of them were groups.  After that we had a shared lunch. I brought lolly cake, next we will have a technology challenge. We never get to know what its about until its time to get to work.

Engineering

This is the best day ever. At Enrich@ILT there was three groups for an hour. I went with Paul we did Engineering, we made sling shot rockets.

My goal is to.........

This term I have to set myself a goal. I can think of many but I can only have one.  It is kind of hard to find one that would help me but I have got one.  My goal for this term is to..... listen more than I usually do.

Pressure on!

Hello people that read my blog,
the pressure is on. Today we have been finishing off our discovery. Next week we are going to be presenting them thankfully I have been trying really hard and have got it finished.    I think my project looks awesome now that I have finished it.  I'm looking forward to presenting it next week.

Poster Board

Today at Enrich@ILT, the artists finished off our Picasso art of the side and front views of our portrait. Our whole class got to do discovery projects and today I started to print some of my items off to put on to my poster board.

Art

Hello people. Today we have been doing art, passion time and discovering your past, but for this post I'm going to be focusing on art. We had art with Katie and we did some Picasso art. Picasso's art is abstract, which means it's not suppose to look like reality and therefore it is not meant to be perfect. It is supposed to look different from the others. We had to do a portrait of our buddy and mix the side view with the front view. It was really fun. We will add colour to them next week in the way of patterns and lines to show the different shapes within the portrait.

Garageband

Today at Enrich@ILT for  Garageband we learnt how to copy and fade out of a song to end it.  That was my second song.  Garageband is lots of fun and I am learning how it all works. For passion time I am researching what fruits would be suitable for our healthy energy drinks.  I have found out that not all fruit drinks are 100% healthy.

Stress!

Hello today is the first day of Enrich@ILT for the term! Today we started off the roll call and we usually have to say what was the best thing in the holidays but today we had to say the place we wanted to visit before we are too old to go on a plane!  Mine was Seattle. We started with three workshops on Personal Development. My favourite was the stress session because we got to discuss ways to relax, and then try one of the techniques - colouring in/doodling for 5 minutes.  This is something that would help me.

Juice

Today for passion time Daniel and I made some juice. We also tried doing some suggestions that  our expert told us, that might help make our drink better. For chess first I versed Daniel, it was a stalemate.  Next I versed Luca, he won 16 points to 15, it was so close.  I don't think I tried my hardest because I was so chessed out after the weekend because it was the Dunedin chess tournament

Orange

Hello! Today at Enrich after the roll we played chess the top 10 went together to play a round-robin tournament. I played Luca and I lost! Then I versed Jackson and lost again! Then we went onto personal development. I went with Nicola we did brain games (to sharpen up your thinking, and to help strengthen different learning styles that you might not usually use). When we had to go to morning tea everyone went awwwww! But we went anyway. For passion time me and Daniel went round asking people what flavour they would like most for our sugar free energy drink: pineapple, grape, apple, orange and orange and apple mixed together. Orange and apple mixed was the most popular with 10 votes.  See you next week!

Chess

Hello. Today at Enrich we played chess and I played against Max.  He bet me twice and then we had personal development I went with Katie, it was about Renzulli and Gagne's model of giftedness

Passion Project

HELLO this is my blog for this week. Today we did a sheet for our proposal of our passion project. Daniel and I are in a group and we are going to create an Energy drink(sugar free).  
It was really hard we had to figure out what we would need.

Wuzzles n Hoops

Hi people out there! Today at Enrich we did some Wuzzles which are word puzzles .We did them with Nicola. They were pretty hard.  Another activity was ... Hoop-A-Rooney. It is a game where you need to get 3 hoops around a circle formed by a group of people in the fastest time without letting go of the person beside's hand. It took us 1 min 39sec.

Aurasma is the best!

Hi people out there! 
Today at Enrich we were placed into three groups and we rotated around three activities. 
One of my favourites was Rotation 1. We watched an interview with the teen artist Lorde. We learned how gifted she was and how she had all 11 scholarly habits.

My highlight was rotation 3. It was the app Aurasma. It was the best. It makes a picture come to life with video clips. You need to get the app and place the device in front of an Aurasma  picture. Then the app begins to work its magic and you can watch really cool video clips. We made our own clips using the app.

Interview

Today at Enrich we had to make up 10 open questions for our buddy to answer and Norton was my buddy so she had to answer my question. 
After she had answered my questions, I had to answer her questions. We are learning about our classmates and what the difference between open and closed questions. A closed question needs a one word answer. Open questions gives more than one word answers.
 Before morning tea, we played this game called hoop-a-roon-y. We linked hands and had to move a hoop around the circle in the fastest time.

First Blog of the Year

Hi guys! Today at Enrich for brain boosters I did tangrams with Paul. He is our new teacher who is replacing Darryn. Next forThinker's Keys where I got to go with Paul again - he was doing invention keys. I think invention keys will be my favourite of all three.
